Take That bring The Circus to Glasgow

ROLL UP, ROLL UP, THE CIRCUS HAS COME TO TOWN
Chart-toppers, Take That, arrive in Glasgow this weekend on their latest tour, ‘The Circus Live’.
Playing at the city’s Hampden Stadium on the 13th and 14th of June, over 100,000 people are expected to attend the concerts. This is not the first time that the circus has arrived at Hampden; the original ‘circus tour’, which was the fastest selling concert tour of all time, first stopped at the stadium in 2009.
This time however, they are a three piece, consisting of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen after original band member, Jason Orange, retired from the band in 2014.
Fans can expect to hear number-one hits like ‘Patience’ and ‘Relight my Fire’ from the trio, who are joined on stage by nearly 40 professional circus performers, including acrobats, dancers, stunt artists and of course, clowns.
The band also say that fans will be “stunned” by a 30ft tall mechanical elephant that will ‘walk’ across the stadium and a 12.5-metre-tall fire-raising puppet during the show.
Speaking after the first concert at Hampden Take That super-fan, Sophie Edwards, said: “It was absolutely amazing. It was the best show I have ever been to.”
The 18-year-old, from Fife became a Take That fan because of her mother’s love for them.
“She’s been obsessed with them forever,” she said.
Addressing people who have not have not yet bought tickets for the shows, Edwards said: “Just look at the videos, look at the giant ‘blow-up’ person. That will make you want to go.”
She also revealed her favourite song and member of the band.
“‘Patience’ is just the best, it is a classic,” she said.
“It has to be Gary Barlow, I can’t help it.”
The tour continues in Glasgow until the 13th of June, before the trio head to Cardiff, Manchester, London, and ending in Dublin on the 4th of July, with their giant elephant, Englebert, in tow.
